Calvyn was involved in a terrible collision with a car. When he arrived into our care, he desperately needed help.
Although the current global health crisis has presented many challenges for Soi Dog, we will never stop fighting for homeless animals in need. If there is a chance to save a suffering animal, we will take it. We will always try to give as many homeless animals as possible the second chance in life that they truly deserve.
With such few adopted animals currently able to leave for their overseas forever homes due to international travel restrictions, we have more dogs than ever in our care. And every day the number of animals in need of help continues to rise.
Some animals come to Soi Dog in need of safety, whilst others arrive in the most alarming condition and require extensive, life-saving and often long-term medical treatment. One of such cases is an unbelievably courageous nine-year-old boy named Calvyn who arrived at Soi Dog with some of the worst injuries our vets have ever seen.
We do not know how long this crisis will last, so we must ensure we have the space, medicine and food to continue helping street animals like Calvyn. We must stay one step ahead to ensure no vulnerable animal is left behind.

In response to the rising number of animals in need, Soi Dog has been adapting and reacting to help as many animals as possible during this crisis. From increasing our community outreach efforts, to building new enclosures at our Phuket shelter, and our mobile teams working round the clock to attend to shy and elusive dogs on the streets of Bangkok, our teams have not stopped. With so many dogs depending on you and us during this crisis, we cannot take our foot off the accelerator now.
